I have noticed that it easier to photograph and document my older girls because they play independently outside, will sometimes cooperate with my prompts, and I am not always “caring” for them the way a ten month old needs taken care of.

So today I decided to get some pictures of my twins. My ten month old baby dolls are crawling, pulling themselves up, playing together, and (unfortunately) are attracted to the electrical outlets (none of their older sisters never seemed to care about those tiny holes in the wall.).

Pictures do not do them justice. I think I might take up some kind of videoing. But until then, enjoy a few pictures of my little darlings.

Oh, how I wish time would just stand still. Last year I was a little overwhelmed with their soon arrival and not sure why God had chosen to do “this”, but this year, these past months, this day, I am so thankful God gave me a second chance to enjoy these baby days once more.

On my Sunday morning walk, I noticed that the mulberries were starting to fall from our tree.  When the girls woke up, they put their shoes on and headed out to pick some.  Most ended up in their mouths and the trill of picking lasted about 5 minutes, but it is the littlest favorite thing to do.  When we are out playing the yard and she sees the tree, she goes over and has herself a snack.

Just a few snapshots of a Thursday in May.  I wanted to challenge myself but I found myself wanting to try too many experiments that I didn't commit to any of them and just did my regular thing...but I kind of like it :)

Picking up my camera and capturing moments or details of my day has become second nature, but this month I decided to challenge myself a little.  I shoot 98% of my images are landscape orientation, mostly because that is how I see the world and what feels right to me.  So today I set out to shoot vertical and to love the results.   And I did!

February 10 on 10

This weekend in February, my favorite person came up from Florida to visit.  November was the last time my twin sister came up for a visit.  It was right when the twins were born and I hardly left my house for a good two weeks.  So during this visit, we spend most of the weekend at my mom's house and Saturday, February 10th was no different.

My oldest spent the night over at Bebe's (My mom didn't want to be just another "grandma" so e came up with a different name for her.  It fits her.  And it also seems to be the trend.) so by the time I got there with the twins, breakfast had been devoured (I missed homemade donuts?!), hair done, and a floor game of Scrabble underway.  The rest of the day was spent eating, feeding babies, napping, playing more Scrabble, playing secretary, and finishing it all of with giving the babies a bath in the sink.  It was a pretty good day.

Last year I took 10 pictures on the 10th of every month.  Some were different perspectives of the same scene, some where mini Day in the Life (took pictures through out the day to remember what our day looked like), some were random, and still some were not that great at all.  But regardless, I enjoyed it so much I decided to do it again this year!

Here is an almost hour by hour of our day, from walking to the bus stop, driving to preschool, sled riding with the middles while the twins slept, picking up Tutu from preschool, playing and eating dinner.  Just our day in a nut shell.
